🎄 Merry Christmas from San Leon Volunteer Fire Department! 🎄
As we gather with our families and friends to celebrate the holiday season, we want to wish everyone in our community a joyful and safe Christmas. The sights, sounds, and delicious smells of Christmas make this time so special, but safety should always be a top priority.
Here are some tips to keep your celebrations safe: 1️⃣ Kitchen Safety: Never leave cooking food unattended. Stay in the kitchen, especially when frying or grilling. Keep flammable items like dish towels and oven mitts away from the stove. 2️⃣ Fire Safety: Be cautious with candles and fireplaces. Keep candles out of reach of children and away from flammable items. Always extinguish them before leaving the room. If using a fireplace, ensure it’s properly cleaned and ventilated. 3️⃣ Electrical Safety: Check holiday lights for worn cords or loose connections. Don’t overload outlets, and always turn lights off before heading to bed or leaving the house. 4️⃣ Emergency Preparedness: Keep a fire extinguisher nearby, and make sure your smoke alarms are working properly.
While we hope everyone enjoys a relaxing holiday, our department is always ready to respond if needed. Remember, emergencies don’t take holidays off. If you experience any issues, don’t hesitate to call 911.
From all of us at the San Leon Volunteer Fire Department, we thank you for your support throughout the year and wish you a very Merry Christmas! Stay safe, San Leon!
