San Leon Fire Responded To A Reported Fire Outside
Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Engineer JEFF PITTMAN
March 13, 2025

San Leon Fire responded to a call regarding a resident burning construction materials. We quickly extinguished the fire and took the opportunity to educate the resident on what materials are safe and legal to burn.

As a reminder, only natural vegetation such as tree limbs, leaves, and brush may be burned—construction materials, treated wood, plastics, and other debris are prohibited and can pose serious health and safety hazards.

If you plan to burn, you must have a valid burn permit. You can review our burn guidelines and download the permit directly from our website.

View & download the Burn Permit here: https://www.sanleonvfd.org/content/permits/file/OutdoorBurningGuideandChec.pdf

Let’s all do our part to keep our community safe and informed!
