San Leon Fire was Dspatched to a Fire in Front of a Metal Shop

San Leon Fire was dispatched to the 1100 block of 7th Street for a reported fire in front of a metal shop. When units arrived, they found fire and heavy smoke coming from a two-bay shop. Dispatch and all other incoming units were notified of a working building fire immediately. Crews stretched an attack line from Engine 3 and initiated a direct attack on the fire. Tanker One was requested to the scene to provide a steady water supply and additional personnel. Mutual aid was requested from Bacliff, Dickinson, and Kemah Fire Departments to support operations and supply extra manpower.
